FibriTech is developing technology for producing biomaterials from natural resources, primarily cellulose fibers. These biomaterials have a three-dimensional, porous structure, are durable, and possess advanced functional properties. Their first commercial application is oil sorbents “FibriSorb,” with the next being soilless cultivation substrates “FibriAgri.” The flexible technology can be parameterized and allows for the creation of new biomaterials for various applications.

The main challenge FibriTech addresses is the demand for durable and environmentally friendly alternatives to conventional industrial materials based on fossil resources, whose production processes significantly pollute the environment. Recycling plastics seems helpful but only in the short term and merely delays the pollution problem. FibriTech’s technology represents a new breakthrough in the materials industry, contributing to the development of non-polluting processes and safe biomaterials.
